WSET Level 4 - D4 Sparkling Wines
With a focus on sparkling wines, this session will explore the art, science, and business of wine. This includes emphasis on viticulture & winemaking process, as well as growing environment, varietal options, winemaking decisions, even industry associations and business decisions – all of which lead to style, level of quality, and pricing. In addition, students will learn to accurately taste and professionally evaluate these principal styles.
The Exam:
90-minute open-response theory paper.
Blind tasting of 3 sparkling wines
Offered every June and October (upcoming dates: Wednesday, June 12, 2024; 1:30pm - 3:00pm and Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 1:30pm – 3:00pm)
Sessions:
Students may register for: a) the in-person course, b) the online course or c) both courses.
Next in-person session (offered every August)
Sunday, August 4, 2024, 9am to 5pm (followed by our Annual WSET Diploma Party!).
Online sessions
Summer 2024 cohort: July 15 - August 18, 2024. registration deadline July 6, 2024 (this option partners well with the in-person course).
