Who should take this course:
This is a high-level certification course ideal for students with a solid foundation in basic wine knowledge and/or previous training. It will be imperative that students allocate time outside of class for reading and review in order to be successful in this rigorous course.
About the exam
The exam for each unit consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Candidates need a composite score of 75% to receive the IWS credential. Those with a composite score of 85-90% pass with honors. Any student with a composite score of 91-100% will pass with highest honors.
About the Instructor:
Nicolas Quillé MW: Nicolas is Chief Winemaking and Operations Officer for the Crimson Wine Group. He is also a member of the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine.
Alberto Martinez Interiano: Alberto is a wine educator and wine writer based in Seattle, WA. He holds the WSET Diploma, is Certified Sherry Educator, is a Vinitaly Academy Italian Wine Ambassador, and has an MBA in Marketing and International Business.
Nicolas and Alberto are noted educators. Both engaging and extremely knowledgeable, they will bring their joy of Spanish wine to life with energy, personal anecdotes, and passion.
