ONLINE -- Wine 201: The Unsung Wines of Europe
Tuition: $140 for one student / $255 for two students
Fridays, April 10 17 and 24, 7:00pm to 7:45pm
Registration includes 9 bottles of wine. Wines can be picked up at The WSA, 3319 SE 50th Ave on Thursday, April 9, from 5pm to 7pm.
Classic grape varieties and wine regions are classic for a region: they make great wines. But once you've got the basics down, an exploration of lesser-known wine styles can offer the jaded palate a taste of something different, and often at a wonderful price point. If you're ready to move beyond Chardonnay and Cabernet, Bordeaux and Rioja, this is the class for you!
How this works: Join this class from the comfort of your home using Zoom (instructions for accessing the class via Zoom will be sent prior to class). Nine bottles of wines are included with your purchase and can be picked up at The WSA on Thursday, April 9, from 5pm to 7pm at The Wine & Spirit Archive’s outdoor wine register. Pull your car into the driveway or text us when you’re at the curb.
Who should attend: This class is ideal for students who have completed the Introduction to Wine Series or other wine classes, but is open to all levels. An eagerness for learning about and tasting intriguing wines is a must!
About the instructor: Mimi Martin is director of The Wine & Spirit Archive and holds the WSET Diploma in Wine & Spirits.
