In this three-part series, we will make a history-focused investigation into American wine from early plantings through Prohibition to the modern era. Students can expect an in-depth look at the established regions and AVAs that define American wine as well as a sneak peak at emerging regions.
Who should attend: This class is ideal for students who have completed the Introduction to Wine Series, Grape to Glass Series, or other wine classes, but is open to anyone with a basic understanding of wines and wine tasting. An eagerness for learning about unusual and unique wines is a must!
About the instructor: Mimi Martin is director of The Wine & Spirit Archive, is a Certified Wine Educator, and holds the WSET Diploma in Wine & Spirits.
