We have our good friend and WSA alum, Carrie Wynkoop of Cellar 503, on board to tackle this installment of the Wine 201 Series. Registration is directly through Cellar 503: https://shop.cellar503.com/WSA-Class-Wine-Pack
In this class we will delve more deeply into what makes Oregon wine unique. Each week we will explore a different aspect of Oregon wine.
Week 1: European influences on the origination of Oregon wine
Week 2: The newest and smallest AVAs in Oregon and understanding what makes them unique - or not!
Week 3: The future of Oregon - unusual varietals, women and LGBTQ winemakers, the "quirkier" side of Oregon wine.
Each week we will taste through two different bottles of wine (optional purchase) to understand more deeply what makes Oregon wine so very Oregonian!
About the instructor: Carrie Wynkoop is founder of Cellar 503, an Oregon-focused wine club and is an enthusiastic champion of the hidden gems, the unique styles and the passionate winemakers of Oregon. There is no one better to share this story with us!
