$95 tuition per household. Optional wine add on of $185 for 3 extraordinary and iconic bottles of wine to correspond with class. Wines can be picked up by appointment at The Wine & Spirit Archive, 3319 SE 50th Ave, Portland, OR.

In this three-part, online wine series, we take a deep dive into Italy’s most esteemed Italian red grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Aglianico. This course explores their origins, their impact on the wine world, the wine styles they produce and the iconic events and people that shaped their story.

Who should take this class: Anyone interested in a detailed — maybe a bit geeky — deep-dive into the story of Italy’s best red grapes.

About the instructor: Mimi Martin is The Wine & Spirit Archive education director and the 2019 Italian Wine Scholar Instructor of the Year.
