Extreme Wines and Heroic Viticulture

In this class, we will explore the insane lengths humans will go to in order to grow and consume wine. Get ready to explore and taste wines grown in absolutely brutal and unforgiving conditions. These wines are an exploration not only of ungodly growing conditions, but also a story of the incredible humans that make them and the ingenuity required. A flight of extraordinary wines from extreme vineyards sites will underscore our learning.
Who should attend: This class is appropriate for students at all levels. A desire to learn about heroic grape growing and an equal desire to taste fabulous wine are a must!
About your instructor: This class is taught by Dr. Jeff D. Peterson, former Professor and a founding faculty member of Linfield University’s Wine Studies Program. He now focuses on wine education and travel through his wine tour company, Vinum Docet.
