In this Master Class, Jeff Peterson will walk us through the impact of elevation on the wines of Argentina. Argentinian wines are grown in an astounding range of elevations, from Patagonia, where vineyards dip down to 300 feet through Mendoza and up to heights of 10,000 feet in Salta. Learn how elevation impacts viticultural practices and wine styles. An optional wine add-on will allow you to the taste the differences as well.
About the instructor: Jeff D. Peterson is a sociologist and professor in the Wine Studies Program at Linfield College. Jeff grew up in Latin America and has traveled extensively through Latin American wine regions. Through his project Vinum Docet (Latin for wine educates) his mission is to share his love of wine in ways that go beyond conventional technical tastings, helping people explore the many ways in which wine can be experienced.
