The wines of Western Europe created the blue print that came to define modern wine, providing the grape varieties, viticulture practices and winemaking traditions that continue to influence what we drink. In the class, we will explore and taste how these styles emerged, how they evolved and what is next for Western European wines.

About the instructor: Mimi Martin is director of The Wine & Spirit Archive. She is a certified wine educator, holds the WSET Diploma and loves drinking wine on Fridays in front of her computer!
