The WSET Level 3 Award in Sake is designed to give a thorough understanding of sake and its commercial importance in the world market. Students will learn how base ingredients and production methods influence styles as well as principles involved in the storage, selection and service of sake. Successful candidates will be able to describe the characteristics of the principal sake categories and give information on the key factors influencing style, quality and value.

The course includes approximately 16 hours of classroom instruction including lecture, discussion and tasting of approximately 40 sakes using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. In order to be successful in this course, students should also budget time prior to class for reading, studying, tasting and completion of homework assignments.

Course tuition includes all tasting fees, course books, exam fees and course certificate.

Additional course content and exam details can be found in the course specification.

Who should attend:This advanced level course is appropriate for beverage professionals seeking a strong foundation in sake knowledge as well as serious sake enthusiasts.
