This two-session course offers an in-depth exploration of the appellations and wines that define the Willamette Valley. In the first session of this class, we will discuss how the history, soils, climate and winemaking traditions impact the valley's wines. And in the second session, we will examine the variations among each of the valley's AVAs (sub-regions) with discussions of the iconic producers and most recognized vineyards of each area.
Each session will include tasting of approximately 8 wines. This class is appropriate for all levels.
