Inama "Vigneti di Foscarino," Soave Classico DOC, 2005
This wine debunks the myth that all Italian white wines are boring. This medium- to full-bodied wine has complex flavors of apple, mineral and white flowers, hints of almond and spice, and a long finish.
Although most Soave is made from a blend of grape varieties, this wine is based entirely on the characterful Garganega grape. A judicious use of oak, malolactic fermentation and lees stirring adds creamy mouthfeel, softness and spiciness to the palate.
