The Jacques Cousteau
WSA original cocktail as featured in Portland Monthly, February 2007.
- 1-1/2 oz Apple Jack
- 1 oz Grand Marnier
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz homemade grenadine (1 part sugar dissolved in 3 parts pomegranate juice)
- 1-1/2 oz Champagne or sparkling wine
- 1 lemon twist for garnish
Shake together Apple Jack, Grand Marnier, lemon juice and grenadine. Strain into a chilled Champagne flute. Squeeze twist over drink to release the rind's oils, run along rim of drink, and serve.
