Job Description: Be a part of the growing wine industry! As an ambassador of Erath Winery, provide superior customer service for all guests, members and visitors, supervising Guest Services staff as necessary.
Essential Functions: • Assist with staff training and development • Conduct educational wine tasting and winery tours for guests of the winery • Work in the tasting room, assisting customers, ringing up purchases, stocking, cleaning, inventory management, etc. • Provide facility information and assistance in person and over the telephone • Act as liaison between wineries, local restaurants and B&B’s • Set up, take down and service of wine at consumer and VIP specialty events • Coordinate winery tour and non-VIP event scheduling • Oversee day-to-day shipping • Tasting room supervisory duties • Support Guest Services Manager and Wine Club Concierge with ongoing projects Non-Essential Functions: • Stock merchandise from the warehouse • Cleaning and stocking of tasting room merchandise and wine • Ensure proper wine rotation • Ring-up merchandise at the registers • Water plants and flowers • Pack wine and merchandise for shipping Working Conditions: • Tasting Room: Standing at tasting room bar for extended periods, carrying racks of glasses, carrying bottles and cases of wine to stock shelves, walking purchases from tasting room to customer vehicle • Staff office: sitting at a desk, some data entry and administrative work • Winery: Tours conducted in all conditions rain or shine, walking down and climbing stairs between winery and tasting room • Occasional offsite events: indoor and outdoor venues, standing for extended periods

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • 3 years of customer service experience required • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken • Intermediate MS Office proficiency preferred • Must be comfortable as team leader and team member • The ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups of people • Interest in or knowledge of wine and wine industry • Must be available to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, and 1 evening per month • Must be available to work (2) 3-day festivals per year • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess or be able to receive OLCC Alcohol Server Certification • Associates degree or equivalent retail supervisory experience preferred
