Whether you are a spirits professional or an enthusiastic consumer, gain a thorough understanding of the world of spirits in this comprehensive course exploring the styles, history, and production of spirits such as brandy, whisk(e)y, rum, tequila, vodka, gin, and liqueurs. Students will learn how to systematically taste and evaluate spirits; how distillation, base material, and maturation impact the ultimate product; and finally, how to shake and stir it all together to create both classic and contemporary cocktails.
The Professional Certificate in Spirits is an internationally recognized certification program and is the only spirits certification course offered in the United States. Students who complete this course and successfully pass the certification exam are awarded the WSET Professional Certificate in Spirits.
Course tuition includes 12 hours of instruction, course textbook, study guide, exam review materials, additional handouts, and tasting of approximately 50 spirits.
